Length – 5.3km

Sites – Rock Waterhole, Old Airstrip and Matamba Plains

This is an easy walk of about one to one and a half hours depending on what you see, it is relatively flat and has a short cut home if required.

1. This trail starts below the ablution block walk down to the road and turn right
2. At cross road keep right
3. Keep straight to the T junction and cross straight across onto game trail
4. At the cut line (this is a straight road cutting the farm in half) cross onto road which goes to the rock waterhole
5. Turn right
6. Take first road left
7. Next road left again
8. At this point you are back at the cutline and just over half way, you can return back to the camp making this about a one hour walk by turning left up the hill passing the runway on the right. Then just after the runway turn right and pick up the end of the longer Giraffe trail.
9. Should you wish to take the longer route turn right down the hill
10. Next road turn left
11. Intersection keep right
12. T junction left
13. Intersection straight bearing left
14. Back at the cutline right
15. After the runway turn right
16. Almost immediately turn left up the hill
17. Next road right and retrace back to the campsite
